Are you addicted to constantly having this under your lip? Snuff corrodes the mucous membranes, from the oral cavity to the anal cavity.
The information I share is a collection of my years as a nutritional therapist.
The tobacco in snus is said to contain about 2500 chemical substances, such as nicotine, lead, arsenic, nickel, polycyclic hydrocarbons, radioactive polonium, nitrosamines. Nicotine is a neurotoxin that is highly addictive. It is as highly addictive as heroin.
The nicotine content of a snuff user is at a higher level than that of a smoker. The nicotine content in a "prilla" is equivalent to about 1.5-2 strong cigarettes. An average snuff user uses 15 grams of snus per day. This corresponds to the amount of nicotine a smoker gets from smoking more than 20-30 cigarettes per day.

Smoking snus can cause high blood pressure, heart and brain attacks, increased risk of type 2 diabetes, increased risk of pancreatic cancer, and impotence.
A snus user's heart beats about 15,000 more beats per day than a non-snus user, 10-20 extra beats per minute. The blood vessels are affected by snus.
Snuff damages and corrodes gums and jawbone, increases the risk of tooth loss, reduces saliva production, which leads to poor oral hygiene and increases the risk of cavities.
Smoking snus while pregnant increases the risk of preeclampsia, premature birth, lower birth weight, respiratory arrest and apnea in the newborn, and sudden infant death syndrome.
Everyone can quit snus. Everyone can quit nicotine. Choose a life without addiction!
You may need help detoxifying your body from the chemicals stored in your tissues. Contact a nutritional therapist or naturopath for guidance on how to go about it. It will be easier to quit snus if you detoxify and get your nutrition at the same time, otherwise withdrawal can be more difficult.
